⭕️The ions which carry positive charge are called cations.

Ex : ${Na}^{+}$ (sodium ion )

${Ca}^{2+}$ (Calcium ion )

⭕️The ions which carry negative charge are called anions.

Ex : ${Cl}^{-}$ (Chloride ion )

${O}^{2-}$ (Oxide ion )
