ion is the small part if an atom . in ion the elements are denoted with their valent (charge ) .

for example : Al ( Aluminum )

electronic configuration :- 2, 8 , 3
so it denote 3 electron so , Aluminum has 3 positive charge ( valency )

it means aluminum charge 3 + valency
