Ionisation sphere

  • Some of the generated isomeric pairs would differ only in 2 ionic groups which exchange their positions within or without the primary part of the coordination sphere.  

They are also referred as ionization isomers. These are represented by the two compounds namely,

  • 1) Pentaamminenitrocobalt surface - It is having the bromide ion where it coordinates with cobalt ion; the other ion namely sulfate ion will be presented outside the coordination sphere.  
  • 2) Pentaamminechlorocobalt bromide - It is having sulfate ion in the coordination sphere and bromide outside to it.
