Supply of water to crops at appropriate intervals is called irrigation.
Two methods of irrigation:
1) Sprinkler system:
This system is useful on uneven land, water is supplied through pipes to the filed.
When water is allowed to flow under high pressure with help of pump, it gets sprinkled on the crops.
2)Drip system:
In this method water is delivered at or near the roots of the plants , drip by drip.
This method is useful in the areas where water availability is poor
