Explanation:

Excess water supply to the crops may result in a condition known as water loging.it reduces air in the soil thereby damaging the roots. if too much of water is in the soil then water will log and there wont be an air for the plant to breathe through roots.

Irrigation is the process of applying controlled amounts of water to plants at needed intervals. Irrigation helps to grow agricultural crops, maintain landscapes, and revegetate disturbed soils in dry areas and during periods of less than average rainfall.
