Isolated system:- This is Pertectly insulated type system. In this type of system interaction is not possible in any way to its surrounding that means neither matter nor energy Can be exchanged in this type of system with the surrounding. Also the boundaries are sealed and are insulated as well.

eg. Coffee in thermos flask

Some of the thermodynamic properties are as follows:-

  • 1. State variables are the properties which define state of any system is also known thermodynamic variable. This is also known as themoaynamic quantities.

  • 2. Measurable properties defines the state of the system. Temperature, pressure, volume etc. are the some measurable properties.

  • 3. If any of the above properties are changed then the state of the system will be absolutely changed.

In physical science, an isolated system is either of the following: a physical system so far removed from other systems that it does not interact with them. a thermodynamic system enclosed by rigid immovable walls through which neither mass nor energy can pass.
