What is isotopes? explain it?

isotopes are elements having same atomic number but different atomic mass.

for example,Carbon 12 and Carbon 14 are both isotopes of carbon, one with 6 neutrons and one with 8 neutrons (both with 6 protons)

Atoms of Same elements having same atomic no. but different mass no. are called isotopes
Eg Hydrogen has 3 isotopes
 \frac{1}{1} h  \frac{2}{1} h \frac{3}{1} h
isotopes of carbon
 \frac{12}{6} c  \frac{13}{6} c \frac{14}{6} c
and more
