indian standard time India has accepted 82 degree 37 minute longitude as indian standard time
It prevented a lot of confusion then the time will remain same everywhere

hey here is your answer
IST means INDIAN STANDARD TIME
our india is big that it will have 2 time zone
but not to confuse it make only one time zone
the center of the india is Allahabad
so., with respect to the Greenwich mean time ,
we have to add 82°30×4min =330 min or 1/2.
This means that india is 5 ^1/2 hour ahead of GMT. Thus if it is 9AM in London it must be 2:30 pm in india

hope u understand it :) ;)

plz mark as a brainlist

dancerpro: thanks
