What is it meant by change of state in chemistry?

change of state means the change in form of matter like solid to liquid phase or liquid to solid phase ,again liquid to gaseous phase or gas to liquid or solud to gaseous form or gaseous to solid form. For instance take the example of Ice to liq to water vapour(they are in reversible form)

change in state means conversion of matter from one form to another for example :- change of ice into water
