Oxygenated and Deoxygenated blood is separated so our circulatory system can work efficiently and it is required for maintaining body temperature.
Just imagine if both the blood mixes then what will happen. No tissues in our body would get pure oxygen and tissues may start to die. And later it may lead to our death.
