Joule's Hearting Effect :-

When Current flows through a resistor, it produces heat which is given by the formula :-

H = i²Rt

where I = Current flowing through the resistor R

t = Time fro which current is flowing when current is passed through standard resistance by connecting them in series with a battery, then we find the standard resistor becomes red hot, thereby emitting heat energy.

This is an experimental proof that when current is passed through standard resistor Joul's heating effect is produced.

Four applications are electric toaster, electric water heater, electric iron, electric fuse.
