Joules law of heating effect of electric current states that the heat flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to :-
1) square of the current flowing through the conductor
2) Resistance of the conductor
3) Time till which the current flows through the conductor.

The relation is something like this mathematically,

H = i^2 * R * t
