Judicial review is a procedure by which a court can review an administrative reaction by a public body and secure a declaration, order or award. And because it is a court of final resort. To some extent, all courts have the power of judicial review, that is they decide the constitutionality of the laws passed by congress. The supreme curt has exercised this power,for example, to revoke state laws that denied civil rights, guaranteed by the constitutions.

Supreme court can declare invalid any law of the legislative. They can determine the constitutional validity of any legislation or action of the executive in the country, when it is challenged before them. This is known as Judicial Review.
