It is the energy in which the particles are in motion(movement). The particles moves at a random speed. The kinetic energy differs from solid to liquids to gas.
♢The Kinetic energy is less in solids
♢The Kinetic energy is more in liquids as compared to solids
♢The Kinetic energy is maximum in gases.

The kinetic energy is directly proprotional to the interpartical force.

INTERPARTICLE FORCE:
The interparticle force occurs when there is a space between the particles.As the space increases the particles began to move and the kinetic energy increases.
