Here's Ur answer.....

The Fundamental Rights are defined as the basic human rights of all citizens. These rights, defined in Part III of the Constitution, apply irrespective of race, place of birth, religion, caste, creed or sex.

Fundamental Rights may well be called the soul of our Constitution. These are the very basic rights that are universally recognized as fundamental to human existence and indispensable for human development. It guarantees civil liberties such that all Indians can lead their lives in peace and harmony as citizens of India. They include individual rights common to most liberal democracies, such as equality before the law, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of association and peaceful assembly, freedom of religion, and the right to constitutional remedies for the protection of civil right.

Hey dear...

Your answer is....

Fundamental rights are the 'conscience' of our Indian Constitution. Colonial rule had created a certain suspicion of the state in the minds of the nationalists and they wanted to ensure that a set of written rights would guard against the misuse of State power in independent India.

Fundamental rights are for the protection of citizens against the arbitrary and absolute exercise of power by the state.

Fundamental rights include the rights of the minorities against majority.

Every citizen must be in a position to claim those rights and these rights must be binding upon every authority that has got the power to make laws.

There are 6 fundamental rights:

1) Right to equality

2) Right to freedom

3) Right against exploitation

4) Right to freedom of religion

5) Cultural and educational rights

6) Right to constitutional remedies

Hope this helps. Thank you.
