The coloured part of the eye which helps to regulate the amount of light entering into the eye

iris part of the eye regulate the amount of light entering into the eye ....

when bright light is entering then the iris closes the pupil by which small amount of light entres

when low light is entering then the iris openes the pupil by which large amount of light entres

by this way the iris regulates the pupil and gives us a perfect vision

In the Irish of our eyes,ther is situated a whole which is like circle,it is call pupil that allows light to strike the retina.Its colour is also black.
