The Krebs Cycle is the aerobic phase of respiration in organisms which respire aerobically. It takes place in the Mitochondria where the pyruvic acid and pyruvates produced in the cytoplasm during glycolysis is oxidized to produce Carbon Dioxide, Water and 36 ATP molecules (2 ATP is produced in the glycolysis).
