Many crucial protein manufacturing mechanism lack in virus, which are required for process of replication.

EXPLANATION:

Replication cannot take place without any production of the structural proteins forming new set of cells. This is the place where host cell ribosomes are present.

The attack from the virus is to the nuclei material of host and informs the host cell forming viral protein structure through the host tRNA, rRNA's, mRNA also the ribosomes.
