lakes are large water bodies of stangent water.
it is of two types
1) Natural lake
it is mostly formed by melted glaciers,wind and action of rivers. eg a meandering river across a flood lake formed or an oxbow lake
2) Artificial lake
it is formed by human beings after dmaming of rivers eg guru Gobind Sagar in Dhaka Nangal dam...
