Land use Pattern( India ) :-

  • The use of land is determined by both physical factors such as tópography , climate, soil types as well as húman factors such as pópulation density technological capability and culture tradition etc .
  • India's total geographical area is of 3.28 million km² .
  • Land use dàta is only available for 93% it of the total geographical area of India .
  • This is because the land use reporting for most of the north east States except of Assam has not been done fully . Also the areas of Jammu and Kashmir occupied by China and Pàkistan have not been served yet .
  • The land use under permanent pàsture has also decreased , this has a major conséquences on the environment .
