Water bodies make land and soil more fertile, useful , beautiful , lovable and  livable. Land supports water on the surface of Earth.

Water bodies help cool hot lands near them during the hot sunny days.  Also water bodies warm up cold lands near them during the nights and in winters.  This is due to high specific heat and capacity of water to hold heat.  This is done through air currents from land to sea or from sea to land.

Water from bodies gets vaporized and forms clouds. That precipitates and falls on the land as rain. The water bodies help recycle nutrients from land to living organisms, plants, and people.

Without water bodies there is no vegetation and so herbivores will die. The land gets eroded and dried. It becomes a desert.

Water on lands is organized into cavities in the lands or among the mountain ranges. The land covers underground water underneath it.
