Latent heat: "heat required to convert a solid to liquid, or a liquid to vapors, without change in temperature is called latent heat."
It has 2 types
1.Latent heat of fusion: The change in enthalpy of a substance resulting from temperature provided , typically heat, to a specific quantity of a substance to change its state from solid to liquid keeping temperature constant, is called latent heat of fusion.
2.Latent heat of vaporization: Heat absorbed per unit mass of a given material at its boiling point that converts it to gas at same temperature equal to the heat of condensation.
