LATENT HEAT - the heat required to convert a solid into a liquid or vapour, or a liquid into a vapour, without change of temperature.

SENSIBLE HEAT - Sensible heat is heat exchanged by a body or thermodynamic system in which the exchange of heat changes the temperature of the body or system, and some macroscopic variables of the body or system, but leaves unchanged certain other macroscopic variables of the body or system, such as volume or pressure

I HAVE NOT COPIED THE DEFINITION WAS GIVEN IN MY BOOK.

Is it Latent heat of fusion or valorization? If yes.,

Latent heat of fusion :- the amount of energy that is required to convert one kg of solid into liquid at its atmospheric pressure without any change in temperature at its melting point is called latent heat of fusion.

Latent heat of vaporization :- the amount of energy that is required to convert one kg of liquid into vapors at its atmospheric pressure without any change in temperature at its boiling point is latent heat of vaporization.

Hope so this helps.
