The amount of energy released or change in change in phase of substance is the latent heat of substance.

There are many types of latent heat

fusion: the substance changes from a solid to a liquidfreezing: the substance changes from a liquid to a solidvaporisation: the substance changes from a liquid into a vapourcondensation: the substance changes from a vapour to a liquid

1-Latent heat of fusion:-
The amount of energy released or change in change in phase of substance from solid to liquid.

2-Latent Heat of Freezing:-
-The amount of energy released or change in change in phase of substance from liquid to solid.

3-Latent Heat of Vaporisation:-
-The amount of energy released or change in change in phase of substance from liquid to vapours.

4:-Latent Heat of Condensation:-
-The amount of energy released or change in change in phase of substance from vapour to liquid.

5-Latent Heat of Sublimation:-
-The amount of energy released or change in change in phase of substance from solid to directly to gas
