Law of conservation of mass states that the mass can neither be created nor be destroyed. In a chemical reaction, the total mass of the products is equal to the total mass of the reactants.

For eg. In a chemical reaction

A+B=C+D

Then according to the law

Mass of A+Mass of B=Mass of C+Mass of D i.e mass of reactants=mass of products.
