 \underline{ \bf{laws \: of \: dominance}}

Laws of dominance is one of the law under laws of Inheritance given By Mendel on the basis of experiments he made with pea plant.

According to law of dominance, when two factors for a character are present in a gene, only the dominating one express itself in F1 progeny and the recessive is suppressed.

For example:- When Mendel self pollinated the homozygous tall pea plant with homozygous dwarf pea plant, only tall plant was obtained in F1 generation. This shows that dwarf trait was suppressed due to dominant tall trait.

There were other laws too.

They are :- Laws of segregation and law of independent assortment.

Hi friend______,

Law of Dominance:

★ When two homozygous individuals with one or more sets of contrasting characters are crossed, the characters that appear in the F1 hybrid are Dominant and those that do not appear in F1 are recessive characters.
