Heya mate.Here is ur answer

According to law of Inertia,

A body will remain in its position of rest or motion untill an external force is applied on it.

This can be proved as :

A book kept on a table will move only when someone pushes or pulls it i.e. applies any force.

This was given by Galileo Galilee.

Later,It cam to be known as Newton's first law of motion.
