The tedency of a body to change its state of rest or uniform motion will continue to be in state of rest or uniform motion.

Law is Inertia is sub-divided into three parts:-

1). Inertia of Rest = A body will resist to change its state of rest is said to be Inertia of Rest.

2). Inertia of Motion = A body will resist to change its state of uniform motion is said to be Inertia of Motion.

3). Inertia of Direction = A body will resist to change its directions is said to be Inertia of Directions.
