this law is based on the fact that the allels did not show any blending and both the characters are recovered as such in F2 generation though on of these is not seen at the F1 stage.
though the parents contain two alleles during gamete formation the factor or alleles of a pair segregate from each other such that a gmete it receives only one of the two factors of course homozygous parent producers all gametes that are similar while the heterozygous one produces two kind of gametes each having one allele with equal proportion

The principle, originated by Gregor Mendel, stating that during the production of gametes the two copies of each hereditary factor segregate so that offspring acquire one factor from each parent.
