the book in which a businessman posted all the entries which is recorded in journal, called ledger.. It is the final book from which the trial balance is prepared. There are 2 sides in ledger. One is debit side and other is credit side. All the debit side in ledger is donated by letter 'To' or all the credit side is donated by letter 'By'. The accounts are prepare in ledger and every account is donated by name. It must be related to anyone's name or anything's name like Sachin a/c, Buildings a/c etc... Ledger a/c should be balanced at the end of every year because balance a/c shows how much balance is left in every account. It is important to prepare ledger otherwise financial statements can't complete
