Leaching is the process by which the existing soluble ingredients in the soil dissolves in water and reach in the lower levels through the soil with the evaporated water.

EXPLANATION:

Leaching happens due to the heavy rain and irrigation. To avoid the excessive loss of nutrients in the 'soil structure', 'crop planting', type and 'application rates' of 'fertilizers' and other factors are taken into account. Leaching is a 'natural environment' concern as it can cause the loss of vegetation growth.
