Lens is a piece of glass or other transparent material with curved sides for concentrating or dispersing light rays, used singly (as in a magnifying glass) or with other lenses (as in a telescope).
Convex : Convex lenses are thicker at the middle. Rays of light that pass through the lens are brought closer together (they converge). A convex lens is a converging lens.
Concave : Concave lens is any lens that has an inward curve in the middle. In other words, the edges of the lens are thicker than the middle. A Concave lens is a diverging lens
