Answer: Lichen is a fungus while Rhizobium is a bacteria.

Explanation:

Lichen : Lichens are a complex life form that comprise a fungus living in a symbiotic relationship with an alga or cyanobacterium  i.e. it is not a single organism. Rather,  is actually two organisms functioning as a single, stable unit. They are are classified with the fungi (being sometimes referred to as lichenized fungi). They do not have any roots, stems or leaves and their chloroplasts are contained only in the algae on the top surface of the lichen.

Rhizobium : Rhizobium is a diazotrophic bacteria established inside the root nodules of legumes. They take in nitrogen from the atmosphere and pass it on to the plant, allowing it to grow in soil low in nitrogen. They are  importance, due to their ability to fix large amounts of atmospheric nitrogen.
