life is means a term of existance on earth
if there is life there may not be a soul but if there is soul there is life
like for example a human has both a life that is existance on earth and a soul
while a plant or a bacteria or a micro oragnism do not have soul but has a an existance on earth that is it has life
well for soul, scientifically soul is not so much so present that is it is considered to be a negative energy ans since negative energy or negetive vibration cannot be seen or cannot be felt we thus may or not believe it
just like the sound that is our ears can hear sound from 20Hz yo 20k Hz betond that it cannot be recepted by us that is the ultrasonis and infrasonic dound in the same way soul or a negative energy is present but cannot be felt judged or seen by us
