Answer:

Reflection is when light bounces off an object. ... Light reflects from a smooth surface at the same angle as it hits the surface. For a smooth surface, reflected light rays travel in the same direction. This is called specular reflection. For a rough surface, reflected light rays scatter in all directions.

Answer:

Light is just one form of electromagnetic radiation, or electromagnetic waves. These waves are all around us and come in many sizes. The largest electromagnetic waves, with wavelengths from a few centimeters to over 100 meters are called radio waves. The smallest electromagnetic waves, with wavelengths the size of an atomic nucleus are called gamma rays. In between are microwaves, infrared light, visible light, ultraviolet light and X-rays.

When a ray of light comes back into the same medium after striking the surface of another medium then the phenomenon is called reflection of light. In other words, reflection is the bouncing back of the light rays from a surface in the same medium.
