Heyaa folk,

Lime : Calcium Hydroxide.
Water : H20.

The solution of calcium hydroxide and water is called as Lime Water.

This lime water is alkaline and milky in colour.

The reaction is,
Ca(OH)2(aq) + CO2(g) → CaCO3(s) + H2O(l)

This process occurs in presence of Carbon Dioxide.

Hope it helps u :)

Answer:

Limewater is the common name for a dilute aqueous solution of calcium hydroxide. Calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)₂, is sparsely soluble at room temperature in water. "Pure" limewater is clear and colorless, with a slight earthy smell and an astringent/bitter taste. It is basic in nature with a pH of 12.4.
