Limiting friction is the maximum static friction beyond which body starts moving. We know that the static friction is a kind of frictional force that can adjust itself to nullify the external force. In case the external force exceeds the limiting friction, the static surfaces in contact are on the verge of sliding. You can find it by finding the maximum frictional force.

Static friction is friction between two or more solid objects that are not moving relative to each other. For example, static friction can prevent an object from sliding down a sloped surface.

Dynamic or kinetic friction acts when the body is moving.

Answer:

This happens until the applied force is less than limiting frictional force. When that body overcomes the force of static friction, the maximum value of static friction is reached -which is known as limiting friction. ... This is called kinetic friction.
