linear motion is otherwise called as rectilinear means that a body moving in a straight line or body moving in the straight line is linear motion
eg running race in a straight 100 m ground
non linear motion is a where a body doesn't move in a straight line is called non linear motion
eg circular motion

Linear motion is a motion of a body along a straight line
while non linear motion refers to motion which is not in a straight line
