  • The polymers in which smaller molecules are linked to each other in linear ( straight ) arrangement are called linear polymers.

  • The polymers in which smaller molecules are linked in such a way that all linear chains are also linked to each other are called cross-linked polymers.

  • Polymers - A long chain like unit consisting of a large number of smaller molecules joined to each other by chemical bonds is called a polymer.

  • Monomers - The smaller molecules which combine to form the chain of a polymer are called monomers.

Answer:

•linear polymer - In linear polymer , the molecules are arranged straight ly. But the objects which are made up of linear polymer can be remoulded.

The objects made of this type of polymer is called thermoplastics.

•cross-linked polymer - In cross-linked polymer , the molecules are arranged in such a way which cannot be separated . They are tightly linked to each other and the objects made up of cross-linked polymer cannot be remoulded.

The objects made of this type of polymer is called thermosetting plastics.

Hope it helps
