Literary criticism is an individual or team evaluation and analysis of any piece of writing . It raise questions and finds out scope of improvement that te author could have demonstrated in the literary piece.
It can also question the literary style, plot, themes, context , can question the purpose or claim of the writer.
And so on...
Different ages have depicted different styles of criticism. Traditional or new criticism or practical or theoretical criticism.

But, critical appreciation ow literary works should be taking positively to improve upon those elements in writing that the writes may think appropriate.

We should not forget that different writers have different writing styles . Shakespeare is different from Wordsworth.
