what is loamy soil? can anyone explain?

forest soils are found in Hollywood and mountainous areas where sufficient rain forests are available. the soil texture varies according to the mountain environment where they are formed . they are loamy and silty in valley sides and coarse grained in the upper slopes.

Loamy is soil composed mostly sand, silt and small amount of clay this soil has lpts of nutrients .it is suitable for growing many kinds of plants.it is dark in colour
