Local Self- Governments are those bodies that look after the administration of an area or a small community such as a village, a town or a city. Local Self-Government operates at the lowest level of society.

Hi friend!

Local Self Government is the lowest of the three levels of the government.
They look after the small administrative areas such as villages, towns and cities.

It can be divided into two - Rural and Urban.
The Rural Local Self Government is called Panchayati Raj System.
The Urban Local Self Government is called Municipality.

Hope you found my answer useful. Keep Smiling!
