Answer:

logic gate is a idilized( theoritical ) or physical device that used to perform boolean operations.

now what are boolean operations.

boolean was a scientics which gives a method to operate binary numbers(0 and 1).

that called boolean algebra.

so gates are used to perform task on boolean algebra.

Fundamently gates are 3 type

AND Gate

OR Gate

and

NOT gate

there are some other gates which can be made with the help of these three.

NAND Gate

NOR gate

XNOR gate

XOR gate.

i think thats enough.

\large\underline\mathrm{Logic \: gates :-}

It is the device which work on the same logical function. It having generally two input & one output. It bases on the binary system, it having two digit only 0 & 1.

It input is added then the then the value of the 1 & if input is not added then the value of the input is 0. It does not depends on the amount of the input.

\large\underline\mathrm{Types \: of \: logical \: gates:-}

1. AND GATE:

It work on the AND operations.

2. OR GATE:

It is the simple logical gate which works on the OR - operations.

3. NOT GATE:

It is also the simple device which working on NOT - operations.

4. NAND GATE:

It is combination of AND & NOT GATE.

5. NOR GATE:

It is the combination of OR & NOT GATE.

6.XOR GATE:

It is also the device (Gate) which gives output AB + AB if input is added to A & B.
