Answer:
The loudness of sound depends on the amplitude of vibration of sound producing objects. a)When the amplitude of vibration is large ,the sound produced is loud. b)If the amplitude of vibration is small ,the sound produced is feeble. The loudness of sound is directly proportional to the square of amplitude of vibration.
In acoustics, loudness is the subjective perception of sound pressure. More formally, it is defined as, "That attribute of auditory sensation in terms of which sounds can be ordered on a scale extending from quiet to loud."
feebleness - the state of being weak in health or body (especially from old age) debility, frailness, frailty, infirmity, valetudinarianism. unfitness, softness - poor physical condition; being out of shape or out of condition (as from a life of ease and luxury) asthenia, astheny - an abnormal loss of strength.
