$\implies$ S.L = B = sounds level

$\implies$ I = Intensity of sound

$\implies$ I0 = constant = 10^-12

$\implies$ B1 = S.L = 10log(I1/I0)....(1)

$\implies$ B2 = S.L = 10log(I2/I0)....(2)

The equation (1) subtract (2), we get.

B1 - B2 = S.L1 - S.L2 = 10log(I1/I2).
