Loudness of sound is a measure of response of sound to our ear. Loudness ofsound is not simply the energy reaching the human ear, but it also tells about the sensitivity of human ear detecting this energy. Loudness of sound is measured in decibel (dB). As energy reaching the ear depends on square of amplitude, so loudness of sound depends on two factors (z) Amplitude of sound waves and

Hi......
Definition of loudness. : the attribute of a sound that determines the magnitude of the auditory sensation produced and that primarily depends on the amplitude of the sound wave involved.
factors are:....
Loudness is the perception of sound intensity. Loudness is subjective while intensity isn’t.
From a theoretical / physical point of view, the loudness of a sound is entirely linked to the amplitude of a the vibration that causes that sound.
However other factors also influence our perception of loudness, mainly the pitch of the sound we are listening to and its phase.
Hope it will help u.. :-)
