What is low tension and high tension side in step down transformer?

Firstly core is assembled then lt and thenht. And in case of step down , it is vice versa. Transformers are mainly for step upor step down of voltage and for isolation for a two winding step up or step down transformer one winding designed to carry a high voltage and the other a low voltage.
