Metals are lustrous, e.g., gold and silver. Objects which are difficult to compress or scratch are hard, e.g., stone, wood.

Non lustrous materials means that those materials which do not have lustre i.e. Shiny surface. For eg :- this includes all non metals except iodine. Like carbon, Other material are chair, battery, books, plz tic sheets, woods, paper, box etc.
