Magnetic field lines are imaginery lines of magnetic fields.Its characteristics are:

  • Magnetic field lines moves from north pole to south pole.
  • Magnetic field lines can never intersect each other.
  • The closed magnetic field lines represent a stronger magnetic force.e.g-on north pole and south pole.

Magnetic field lines inside the magetic field are the imaginary lines along with a hypothetical north pole moves. Properties of magnetic field lines: Magnetic field lines move from north to south pole outside the magnet and south to north pole inside the magnet. Two magnetic field lines can never be cached in the other because at their point of intersection there will be two directions at a time which is impossible. If a tangent is drawn on any point on the magnetic field line then it gives the direction of the magnetic field at that point. Closely spaced inagnetic field lunes represents strong magnetic field e. g. The magnetic field lines are very close to each other at pokes so there is the maximum strenth of the magnetic force at poles.
