The force exerted by a magnet is called magnetc force.

Magnets have two poles north pole and south pole.

They attract oppposite poles i.e. the north pole attract s the south pole and the north pole attract s the south pole. If the same poles are brought close to eachother there will be repulsion of the two magnets.
